Hurricane Report From Antgua Sept 9, 2017

Berman Travel Just Received this from Rob Sherman, Curtain Bluff Resort Antigua

September 9, 2017

Today, for the second time in four days I am happy to report that Antigua has survived a
powerful storm. This time Hurricane José (Category 4, 150 mph wind speed) veered off its projected path to pass just east of Barbuda. Again Curtain Bluff is undamaged and, most importantly, all our staff and their families are safe and in good spirits. The resort will open as scheduled on October 28

Unfortunately, Antigua's sister island Barbuda was not so lucky. It was hammered by Irma and side-swiped by José. The damage is catastrophic and the island has been totally evacuated. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those who have lost so much. Curtain Bluff's non-profit, the Old Road Fund, has begun funneling support to those in need.

Our sympathies also go out to the other Caribbean islands and to the people of Florida who are still in harm's way.

Managing Director
