Atlantic City Cinefest to Screen “The Man From Earth” Sequel

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Atlantic City Cinefest celebrates its 10 year this October 13-15. As a part of their big weekend, the festival will screen “The Man From Earth: Holocene,” as part of a double feature that will begin at 8:15 p.m. within the Dante Hall Theater on Saturday October 14.

“The Man From Earth: Holocene” is a sequel to its original, which played at Atlantic City Cinefest’s first year in 2008. “The Man From Earth” original was ranked number 44 on IMBD’s top 50 Sci-Fi movies of all time.

“The Man From Earth: Holocene:” features a roundup of actors and actresses including Michael Dorn, William Katt, and Vanessa Williams. In the film, 14,000-year-old "Man from Earth" John Oldman is now comfortably hiding in plain sight as a college professor in Northern California. But his existence comes crashing down when four students discover his deepest secret, putting his life in grave danger and potentially shaking mankind to its very soul.

Producer, Eric Wilkinson, shares, "I'm thrilled to be participating in the 2017 Atlantic City Cinefest. I have a special connection to this event because my first film as a producer ‘Jerome Bixby's The Man From Earth’ had its East Coast premiere here ten years ago during the festival's inaugural year and to be returning to this festival on its 10th anniversary with that film's sequel, "The Man From Earth: Holocene" is really exciting.  I was born and raised here in South Jersey, in addition to being a Stockton State University alumnus, and its truly an honor to be part of this amazing festival. Thanks goes out to Bill and the festival organizers for the opportunity."
Tickets for “The Man From Earth: Holocene” and the rest of the festival are available now. You can view the entire weekend line up at Atlantic City Cinefest’s website. Prices are $40 for a Weekend Pass; $25 for a day pass and $5 for a single block of films. Tickets are available through Stockton University at and at the door.
