RZA Announced as Keynote Speaker for the Atlantic City Vegan Food Festival

New Jersey VegFest Series Continues in Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (March 9, 2018) - Tickets are on sale for the Atlantic City Vegan Food Festival, which will feature Grammy® award winning music producer and long-time vegan Robert F. Diggs, aka RZA.  Festival events will be held on July 13th and 14th at the Showboat Atlantic City Hotel and are part of the New Jersey VegFest series.  RZA will speak about the impact of veganism on the right to life of animals. The speaker lineup also includes ultramarathoner Scott Jurek, and the weekend rounds out with 200 vendors, a vegan food truck festival, a 10k & 5k on the boardwalk, live music, cooking demos and more.  
“We are beyond thrilled to announce RZA as our keynote,” said Marisa Sweeney, co-founder of New Jersey VegFest.  “RZA’s contribution to music and the arts is legendary, and he stands out as an advocate for animals and role model for showing how veganism can lead to a better future.”  As the producer of the Wu-Tang Clan’s “A Better Tomorrow,” RZA chooses to leave animals off his plate, knowing that going vegan makes for “a better tomorrow.” RZA has recorded promotional videos for PETA and also recently launched a new line of clothing and accessories, all of which are PETA-approved as vegan-friendly.
Early bird tickets for the July 14th food festival are $10 will be offered through May 31st.  This ticket also includes entry into the vegan food truck festival, to be held from noon to 8pm on Friday, July 13 with about 20 trucks right next to the boardwalk.
Tickets to see keynote speaker RZA are $35.  Tickets for Scott Jurek are $20, and there is a $15 ticket for the panel discussion with Bryant Terry, lauren Orenales from the Food Empowerment Project and Chef Erika Boyd, owner of Detroit Vegan Soul.
A room block has also been reserved at the pet-friendly Showboat Hotel Atlantic City for Friday, July 13th and Saturday, July 14th. The rate is $175 per night. Reservations can be made at
