Yuirk Mamedov is a professional boxer who is currently 10-1 with 3 KO’s and as he approaches his next fight taking place at Showboat Atlantic City on March 23rd against to-be-named opponent, he’ll have one of Atlantic City’s most historic casino & resorts in his corner. Resorts Casino Hotel will be sponsoring the 27-year old fighter who was born in Russia, and from there, lived in Armenia, Germany, Belgium and France.

“Resorts Casino Hotel is very excited to be sponsoring Yurik Mamedov. On Saturday, March 23rd, and with hopes beyond this big fight, Yurik will be sporting boxing trunks with Resorts Casino Hotel embroidered on them,” said Mark Giannantonio, President & CEO of Resorts Casino Hotel. “He’s an incredible talent and I think this bout at the Showboat Hotel will put that on further display. We very much look forward to working with Yurik as he climbs the welterweight ranks!”

Mamedov, who also goes by the ‘Fighting Pride of Yazidi,” had his professional debut in Boston, MA in 2016 and since that time has sharpened his skills and has become a hard hitting prospect in the welterweight division. He is the first boxer that Resorts Casino Hotel has sponsored since Morris Bailey took ownership of Resorts. In his fight on March 23rd in AC, he’ll seek his 11th win and continued rise in boxing.

Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment assumed management of Resorts Casino Hotel in 2012, a move that has set the stage for its return as the most exciting gaming destination in Atlantic City.
